Check out the Audacity software!

Audacity is a free software program you can download off of the internet. It allows you to record, edit, and transform sounds. Features such as making your audio clip repeat, adding an echo effect, and even removing unwanted parts from the clip are all features I enjoyed using.

Here is a list of other features Audacity offers:

  • Record live audio.
  • Convert tapes and records into digital recordings or CDs.
  • Edit Ogg Vorbis, MP3, WAV or AIFF sound files.
  • Cut, copy, splice or mix sounds together.
  • Change the speed or pitch of a recording.

You can see a full list of features here so please check it out and see it for yourself.

  1. There’s actually more powerful DAW software flavors out there that are open source and free to non commercial users.

    • Hi ZM –

Thanks for your comment. Our district is a Windows OS district. One of the software you recommended only work with Mac and Linux. I wonder if Reaper software is free?

Thank for the comment and I appreciated it.
